Colonial Adventure in Nicaragua

It has been designed to learn about the rich history of the two most important colonial cities of Nicaragua, Leon and Granada. "Colonial Adventure" will take you into the charming town of Granada with its splendid old-restored monuments and buildings.

"Los Pueblos Blancos" will delight you with its unique traditions and welcoming people. Nicaragua's world heritage site "Leon Viejo" is authentic and valuable, once the capital of colonial Nicaragua. Nature circumstances obliged these first inhabitants to look for a safer location, reaching to the actual site of Leon. This city still preserves more than half of the colonial churches, art centers, museums, cobble stone streets, markets.Leon had an important role in the fall of Somoza in 1979, some political murals depicts part of the intense history that the city has gone through.

Day 1: Granada

We begin in the historic and oldest City on the American continent : Granada. The afternoon is yours to stroll the streets, admiring the architecture and ambiance of this glorious colonial city...

Day 2: National Park Masaya Volcano - Markets - Catarina - Isletas

After breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a guided tour of the city, then journey to the town of Masaya, known for its colorful market. Next, the road leads us to the National Park Masaya Volcano for a look at one of Central America's most spectacular active volcanoes...

Day 3: Granada - Managua - León Viejo - León

Today is devoted to both the old and new Managua, Nicaragua's capital city. Our trip also includes a visit near the impressive Momotombo volcano of the "old" León founded in 1524 and declared a few years ago by UNESCO a "heritage site of humanity" as a symbol of Spanish conquest...

Day 4: Hot spring San Jacinto - Managua

Following breakfast and an excursion to the hot springs at San Jacinto, we complete our circuit, and provide transportation to the next stage you've booked...
