Why should I travel to Costa Rica on one of your packages?

Can I rent surf Boards down there?
Yes, you can rent surfboards in some town and at certain hotels. Ask your Tico Travel™ agent for more information.
Can I take surfboards on domestic flights?
Domestic carriers will take your boards HOWEVER they will not guarantee that they will go on your scheduled flight. Tico Travel™ does not recommend that you take a domestic carrier if you have boards.
Do you offer surf lessons?
Your Tico Travel™ agent can recommend companies that provide surf lessons.
How big can the surfboards be?
Boards cannot be any longer than 96’. In addition, not all carriers will take boards so ask your Tico Travel™ agent for a carrier that will.
Do I need a passport to travel to Costa Rica?
Yes, you MUST have a passport and anyone (including minors) traveling with you also needs a passport. Contact the U.S. Department of State to obtain a passport
What should I bring?
A relaxed attitude and a willingness to have fun. If you mean clothes, light airy shirts and pants with sandals for the day and some warmer clothing for the night as it can get a little cool at night. Of course, your medications, toiletries, swim suits and sun block are a must. A pair of hiking/walking shoes if you plan to explore the rainforests, water falls and/or volcanoes. Spending money for groceries, dining and gifts (for the folks back home) is always a good idea. Travelers checks and American Dollars are accepted almost everywhere.
Do I need to know Spanish?
You don't need to know spanish. Your guides and instructors are fluent English speakers and almost all Costa Ricans speak at least a little English. However, knowing a little spanish will only help to enhance your experience during this exotic adventure

What is the weather like in Costa Rica?
This tropical paradise is blessed with wonderful weather throughout the year. There are two main seasons, which are summer from December to May. and the green season beginning in June until the end of November. The temperature is very stable, varying from 20°C to 30°C about 80 to 90°F.
