The Fonda Vela Hotel is located in the beautiful Costa Rica Rainforest town of Monteverde, famous for its Resplendent Quetzals, Three-wattled Bellbirds, an abundance of orchids, and a gorgeous cloud forest.

The climate is refreshing, many times referred to as "eternal spring". The views of the Gulf of Nicoya from the hotel's 1400 meter elevation are spectacular. We invite you to the Hotel Fonda Vela.The suites have a small refrigerator, tables, a king-size bed on the main floor and a loft with a queen-size bed.Our junior suites have a small refrigerator, table, king and a queen-size beds, and a comfortable sofa.

Television is available in all the junior suites. Telephones are available in all the rooms of the hotel. Most of the rooms are wheelchair accessible. In the case you need one please request it the time you are making your reservation. The Fonda Vela has 40 rooms in 9 separate buildings, this includes 18 standard rooms and 20 junior suites.

All rooms have private bath, hot water and 2 queen-size beds or a king size bed. We offer an elegant and spacious restaurant, a separate bar and TV room and a meeting rooms that seat 50 people and have balconies overlooking the forest.
