This Costa Rica Sport fisher is a 33' Strike designed exclusively for Costa Rica Sport fishing. She sports two twin Cummings Diamond Edition engines and is the newest and fastest boat in Quepos. The Costa Rica Charter Boat features an amazing 13 1/2' Beam which accommodates up to 6 anglers in comfort with the only fully air conditioned cabin in Quepos. The 33' Strike is equipped with top of the line Penn International rods and reels. This Costa Rica Sportfisher also offers Quepos top crew with bilingual Captain Glenn Morales and his First Mate Elvis.

Fishing Seasons

Costa Rica fishing for sails is outstanding. Sails are most abundant throughout the year, however during the months of late December through May you should expect to see many free jumpers and excessive amounts of fish. Like Marlin, Sailfish are taken year round with usually about 5 to 15 fish a day.

Sailfish are very plentiful in Quepos, and they are the most popular quarry there, but blue and black marlin will crash the party often enough to keep anglers on their toes, and add to the excitement. Dorado and tuna are common catches here too, and those who invest time around submerged rocks in hopes of enticing roosters will be rewarded with their share of these impressive fighters, and perhaps even get to tangle with a dog-tooth snapper or one of many reef dwellers that inhabit the same areas. Billfish abound year 'round off boats based at the dock here, and the surest season for a boat load of bills is December and January, then through April.

Between May and November, you may have to go farther offshore for bills. Tuna, Snapper and Roosterfish are plentiful all year.
